Cape Coral Mold Remediation (cleanup) must be performed by a state of
Florida licensed mold remediator. An independent mold assessor must be used for mold assessment (inspection). Cape
Coral Mold Remediators are not allowed to perform mold assessment then cleanup the mold within 12 months of
the inspection. Mold Assessor and Mold Remediator are two different licenses, one does not
qualify for the other.
Your licensed Cape Coral Mold Inspector (Certified Indoor Environmentalist) will
write recommendations for cleanup of any mold problem as part of their inspection report based on nationally accepted industry
standards. This allows client to get proposals from Cape Coral mold cleanup companies based on a report that identifies source
of mold problem and the extent of problem.
(d) Perform or offer to perform any mold remediation
to a structure on which the mold assessor or the mold assessor’s company provided a mold assessment within the last
12 months
Cape Coral Mold Remediator
(mold removal) must have a Lee County “business tax receipt” (occupational license).
Lee County requires an occupational license (now called
a business tax receipt) for Mold Remediators (mold removal). This is for the individual not the company
as in the past.

"remember
that a negative sampling report must not be used in place of a visual survey. Factors such as barometric
pressure, inside and outside temperatures, activity levels, and humidity may dramatically reduce or increase the spore levels
within a building. Air sampling for mold provides information on what was in the air only for the moment when the sampling
occurred. It is important, therefore, that sampling not replace visual inspection."
"Sampling for mold should be conducted by professionals who have specific experience
in designing mold sampling protocols, sampling methods, and interpreting the results." EPA
"Experience in interpretation of results is essential.” EPA
One very important aspect of the Mold / Home
Inspector law the consumer should understand is that Mold Inspections and Home Inspections are two different professions, with separate licenses
and regulations.
Cape Coral Mold Remediation (cleanup) must be performed by a state of
Florida licensed mold remediator. A Cape Coral Mold Remediator is not allowed to perform a mold assessment
then cleanup the mold within 12 months on the same job. An independent mold assessor must be used for mold assessment (inspection).
