Cape Coral home inspectors are not required to be experienced
to be licensed by the DBPR in Florida.
For a legal radon test, Cape Coral
home inspectors placing or picking up radon tests must be certified by Florida Dept. of Health. (Cape Coral homebuyers
beware) If the boss is certified, this does not mean their associates can perform the radon test, each person placing
or picking up a radon test MUST be certified.

must come from a FL DOH certified Radon Measurement Business.

Florida Department of Health.

"Begining
January 1, 1989, no person may test for or mitigate the presence of radon in Florida for
a fee or other renumeration unless such person has been certified."
"It is
a violation of Chapter 404, Florida Statutes and Chapter 64E-5, Florida Administrative Code to provide radon services without
being currently radon certified by the Florida Department of Health. Specialists and technicians must provide radon services
only through affiliation with a Florida certified radon business. Businesses and individuals will be fined for non compliance."

Cape Coral Home Inspectors licensed in Florida are required to have liability insurance. Mold Assessors
licensed by the state of Florida and are Certified Indoor Environmentalist are the consumers best choice. New applicants for
a mold assessor license must pass the CIE or CIEC or CMC test. Grandfathering allowed many to become licensed mold assessors
without passing the ACAC now required test. There are about 12 individuals who are licensed mold assessors and Certified Indoor
Environmentalists in the Cape Coral area. There are a couple hundred licensed mold assessors in Southwest Florida, only
about 12 have passed the CIE exam.
