FL DOH Certified Radon Testing and Mitigation Companies

Florida regulates Radon thru the Florida Department of Health.

The applicant must also demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of documented field experience in microbial sampling or investigations;

Home Inspection

Home Inspectors licensing in Florida is required,  signed into law July 1, 2007.
It is to the consumers best interest to know as much about their home inspector as possible.
Many reputable organizations train and certify their members.
There are many good Home  inspectors that are not members of the various organizations.
Building inspectors promoting themselves as home inspectors must have a home inspector license.

Home Inspector - Initial License by Examination

No experience required.

This application is used by individuals who have taken and passed the National Home Inspector Examination (NHIE) given by the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors (EBPHI).

Application Requirements:
 
  • EXAMINATION: Individuals seeking licensure as a Home Inspector must first take and pass the National Home Inspector Examination (NHIE). The examination will be administered by Pearson VUE in computer based testing format. To contact Pearson VUE please call 1-888-204-6230 or visit their website at www.pearsonvue.com.
  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: The applicant must demonstrate proof of completing a course of study approved by the department of not less than 120 hours that covers the 8 components of a home and has passed the examination required by the department. Radon Testing and Mitigation Businesses

Cape Coral Mold Assessors (inspectors) must be licensed by DBPR and are not allowed to do mold cleanup on same job within 12 months.

Cape Coral Mold Assessors/inspectors are required to have up to 4years experience to be licensed in Florida.

Cape Coral Home Inspectors must be licensed by the DBPR and pay a Lee county business tax.

Cape Coral Mold Remediators must be licensed by the state of Florida (DBPR) and must also pay a Lee County business tax.

Bonita Springs Mold Assessors are licensed by the state of Florida (DBPR) and must also pay a Lee county business tax (occupational license).

Bonita Springs Mold Assessors/inspectors are required to have up to 4years experience to be licensed in Florida.

Bonita Springs Home Inspectors have a different license than mold inspectors (assessors) issued by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

Bonita Springs Home Inspectors are not required to have experience to be licensed by the state of Florida.

Bonita Springs Radon Testing must be performed by individuals certified by the FL DOH to do so.

Bonita Springs Mold Remediators licensed in Florida also work in Ft Myers and Naples.

Ft Myers Home Inspectors often work in Cape Coral and Naples, even Sanibel and Marco Island and must be licensed by Florida.

Ft Myers Mold Inspectors that are Certified Indoor Environmentalists provide the most detailed reports for mold assessments.

Ft Myers Mold Assessors and Remediators must pay a Lee county business tax.

Ft Myers Mold Assessors/inspectors are required to have up to 4 years experience to be licensed in Florida.

Ft Myers Radon Testing for Real Estate transactions must be performed by someone certified to do so by Florida law.

Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda Mold Assessors are not allowed to perform mold remediation on mold jobs they performed the mold inspection on within 12 months- Florida law. (if they are also licensed mold assessors)

Port Charlotte / Punta Gorda Assessors/inspectors are required to have up to 4 years experience to be licensed in Florida.

Only Licensed Mold Remediators can advertise they perform mold cleanup in Port Charlotte aor Punta Gorda.

Estero Radon Test Report must come from a FL DOH certifed Radon Measurement Business.

Lehigh Acres Mold Assessors (inspectors) must be licensed by the state of Florida.

Lehigh Acres Assessors/inspectors are required to have up to 4 years experience to be licensed in Florida.

Lehigh Acres Home Inspectors have a different license than mold assessors/inspector (Florida law).

Lehigh Acres are NOT required to have experience to be licensed in Florida.

Lehigh Acres Mold Remediators (cleanup) must be licensed by the state of Florida.

Marco Island  Assessors/inspectors are required to have up to 4 years experience to be licensed in Florida.
